Sensitive
Most of us are born highly sensitive people. Children are in love with the world they are coming in to, trying relate to and to understand. And recent research confirms what we instinctually know and that is that relationships further brain development but not only the brain is enriched but all of the senses.
If you are a highly sensitive person you have survived some oppressive messages that asked you not to be too in love with the world. Children love rocks and ladybugs and all. And they suffer when bugs and other creatures suffer. Unlike what is commonly taught in child development course that children are fundamentally selfish, research has found we have innate survival mechanisms to help us live which may at time be self centered but we are also made to help others> we begin as sensitive children.
