They have discovered specific cells in our newborn bodies that respond in very significant ways to touch. Touch enables emotional growth, development and well being.

There is now a specialty in newborn psychology. As it turns out, we aren’t blank slates. There is experience in the womb and during our births that affect us profoundly.  Touch is one of the primary experiences.

If you did not receive optimal touch as a baby or child you can help your body heal from this depravation by intently seeking appropriate touch. For example, touch the grass barefoot, touch a tree, feel the texture of fabric, hug a friend. Our animal friends can be especially helpful as they are so open to touch. More touch will help you decrease depression, anxiety and even health problems, even help your all of you will open more to life and your spirit in a grounded way.
